GeoFocus strives to ensure that our clients and
potential clients understand the difference between us and our competitors from intial contact to completion of a
project. Our most significant assest is our experience and reputation. The GeoFocus name is known
as being a corpoaation dedicated to honesty, integrity and dependability. See below to read brief examples of
how we differ from our cometition. Should you have any questions whatsoever while reading through our website
please do not hesitate to contact us at your convenience.
What sets us apart from our
competitors? First and foremost we are not a franchise. GeoFocus Mould Solutions is a full
service mould assessment and remediation consulting group comprising of a network of multi-disciplined experts
providing a distinct service in all matters relating to residential, commercial, industrial and institutional mould
assessment and remediation. GeoFocus was founded by construction oriented individuals with over 50+ combined years
of experience and who have managed the placement of over 250 million dollars over the course of their
careers. GeoFocus draws its expertise from an extensive network of consultants including architects,
engineers, building scientists, lawyers, quantity surveyors, construction experts, testing laboratories and medical
practitioners. The principles of GeoFocus have over fifty combined years of construction expertise acting as a
developer, general contractor, project manager, construction manager, contracts administrator and litigation
support consultant.
How are competitors collect
samples:
When collecting samples our competitors do not
consider many factors, such as: spatial or location variables, temporal (time) variables, complaint and non
complaint zones and other items that could seriously affect the accuracy and meaningfulness of a collected
sample. Whether they do not consider the items listed above intentionally or unintentionally not considering
them while collecting samples provides ample opportunity for skewed or inaccurate results. Nevertheless
should you choose to retain one of our competitors ensure that they collect your samples under the "normal
conditions". Agitating and/or disturbing materials prior to sampling creates inaccurate samples and is often
a way for many firms to either create remedial work or create additional sampling work for clearance
purposes. Finally, many of our competitors do not utilize accredited third party laboratories to analyze
their samples; moreover, many of the laboratories they utilize are outside of the country.
The GeoFocus difference and how
we collect samples:

Whether we are sampling in a educational facility, religious facility, office
facility, or private residence, GeoFocus maintains the highest level of standards to ensure accurate collection of
samples at all times. In addition to the foregoing and amongst other things, GeoFocus
records and photo documents every sample including a photo of the serial number from every sample collected.
This ensures that our clients can rest assured that the sample we collect is the sample that will be
analyzed. When collecting exterior samples GeoFocus ensures that temperature, time of day, wind direction and
weather conditions are considered in order to provide accurate results. When collecting interior samples
GeoFocus ensure that samples are taken under normal conditions, thus eliminating skewing of the results and/or
false positives. In addition to our experience and training GeoFocus also retains an accredited third
party laboratory to analyze our samples. The laboratory we utilize is based in Mississauga,
Ontario.
How our competitors construct containment
units:

When constructing containment units many of our
competitors fall short of perfection. Many do not have their units under negative air pressure. Many do
not use new materials, many use damaging adhesives and many use inexperienced labourers to construct them.
Constructing a containment is an integral part of the remediation process. Whether large or small ensure your
contractor and the employees they have working for them are experienced in and trained to construct containment
units and negative air pressure apparatus.
The GeoFocus difference and how we construct containment
units:

Whether constructing a thirty foot high
containment unit in an industrial manufacturing plant, a fifteen foot
high containment unit in a industrial warehouse or a eight foot high containment unit in a private residence, GeoFocus maintains the highest
level of standards to ensure a large portion of our time spent at any project is spent ensuring the containment
unit we construct is sufficient for the project at hand. Our containment systems typically include setting up
negative air machines to minimize contaminated material leaving the
containment area, air scrubbers to improve dust control, and air chambers for
cleaning the wrapped contaminated materials coming out of the contained
area for subsequent disposal. GeoFocus uses only new materials, change our HEPA
filters daily during remediation and clean all containment materials prior to removing the materials from the house
the difference between "Us" and "Them" is astounding.
